About this arrangement

Concert Band - Grade 4 SKU: AP.36-B388502 Composed by Robert Jager. This edition: Master Band Series. Concert Band; Performance Music Ensemble; Programmatic. Ludwig Masters - Master Band Series. Score and Part(s). LudwigMasters Publications #36-B388502. Published by LudwigMasters Publications (AP.36-B388502). UPC: 753625215082. English.Written following a visit to both the nuclear holocaust "ground zero" of Hiroshima, Japan, and the more conventional holocaust of Pearl Harbor, the opening of this work is meant to capture the solemn and mournful sound of the massive bell at Hiroshima's "ground zero."  Remaining melancholy throughout, the composer writes, "The composition, like a prayer, has no answers.  Maybe there is no answer.  Perhaps a solution must be found within each of us, before there is no longer time."  Litany was commissioned by the Galesburg-Augusta, MI, High School Band, Martin Benstein, conductor. These products are currently being prepared by a new publisher. While many items are ready and will ship on time, some others may see delays of several months.
