The middle section puts the figured melody on a solo stop, accompanied on a second manual, with no pedal. The key changes to a minor. The third section, in common time, features the melody in the pedal once again, echoed in quarter note chords in the manual. A return to 12/8 time ushers in the hymn's refrain, which closes the piece with solo stop, accompaniment and pedal. A Picardy third is heard ending in A Major. Easy to moderate in difficulty, this arrangement of Veni Emmanuel is well-written and would make an excellent prelude for an Advent Mass or Penitential Service.
