It does not use rhythm (except for simple tie lines in the left hand part), fingering, or other musical notations. The right hand part is the melody, and the left hand part consists of periodic tonic or dominant tones. The letters produce the tune in the key of G. With my own piano students, I use this to reinforce understanding of: letter-key names, the concept of sounds moving up and down, and hand coordination.
