It is a faithful transcription akin to a transcription by Liszt; though having its difficulties, is nowhere near as technically demanding as are his. It is most difficult in its use of multiple voices in the right hand. The performer must be careful not to overpower the melody with the inner accompanying voices. There are several occasions where the thumb is needed to play two notes. The left hand almost exclusively provides a solid bass in octaves, only briefly performing a stride accompaniment.
