About this arrangement

Concert Band SKU: LB.267 Composed by David Lovrien. March. Score and parts. Lovebird Music #267. Published by Lovebird Music (LB.267). Written in honor of the 100th birthday of WRR radio in Dallas, Texas. First licensed on August 5, 1921, WRR is the second oldest operating radio station in the United States. It currently operates as WRR-FM 101.1 and is one of the top classical radio stations in the country. A WRR broadcast tradition for the past 25+ years has been the "March of the Day" – a rousing march selected each weekday and broadcast at 7:35am to bring positive energy to the morning commute. Nearly a dozen of composer David Lovrien’s marches have been featured in this broadcast slot over the years, and this march was composed to repay that kindness. "March of the Day" is unique in that it is both a march and a radio jingle (vocal chorus optional). Grade 3.5.
