Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1226718 Composed by Kate Loder. Arranged by Owain Evans. 19th Century,Classical,Historic,Romantic Period,Traditional. Score. 4 pages. Owain Evans #822718. Published by Owain Evans (A0.1226718). This is quite a mature piece by Kate Loder (1825–1904), being composed in 1896 or before. There are the definite characteristics of a Chopin Mazurka: it's in three time, ABA form, deliberate accentuation on the third beat and sometimes the second. It's a good representation of a mature composers' skill. And a great representation of a female composer: it should be in the standard repertoire. The style is quite conservative.I would grade this as a grade 7 ABRSM piece (grade 9 RCM).I've taken care in the engraving and editing to create a more readable score and it should be pleasurable to read!
