About this arrangement

Organ - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1001606 Composed by Michael Anthony Joseph. Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Michael A. Joseph #6657109. Published by Michael A. Joseph (A0.1001606). This short meditation on the chant theme of the "Requiem Eternam" (Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord) is ideal as a prelude or offertory organ solo for funerals and memorial services. 1) In the opening part, the organ manuals state the theme in a flowing perpetuum mobile feeling in the 6/8 meter as it overlays hints of the theme. 2) Then, in the part of the piece, the theme is heard in its original form in the pedal. The piece is sure to delight the listener with the symbolism of perpetual light for the deceased, as reflected in the flow of the Perpetuum Mobile effect.  This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
