About this arrangement

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.510276 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Alex Phillips-Yates. Classical,Romantic Period,Standards. 18 pages. North Node Music #3563509. Published by North Node Music (A0.510276). Chopin's most instantly recognisable Polonaise, the "Military Polonaise" is lively and full of energy, and works very well as a piece for string ensemble. This arrangement can be performed with or without the double bass, and can also be performed as a string quartet (in this instance, the lower octave of the 1st violin double-stopping can be omitted). The change from A major to G major utilises the natural resonance of the string ensemble and avoids double-sharps.This arrangement was first performed by the String Orchestra of the Lancaster Community Music Centre, Lancashire, UK. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of popular titles and original compositions from a variety of voices and backgrounds. The length, difficulty, and retail pricing are determined solely by the discretion of the person who arranged or composed it.
