You would pay much less for each piece. Millpond is a simple piece for solo harp. Initially I was trying to keep it purely diatonic, without the use of pedals, but at one bar the music took me elsewhere.... That bar (bar 37) can eventually be omitted. The title Millpond alludes to an English idiom: as calm as a millpond - because of the calm character of the piece. This work also has the didactic connotations of any relatively short work (less than 3 minutes). Although it does not appear to be a concert work, when putting together a programme one may need variety and contrasts - and this work can therefore have its place in a recital. Inicialmente intentaba yo mantenerla puramente diatónica, sin el uso de pedales, pero en un compás la música me llevó para otro lado... Ese compás (el 37) puede eventualmente omitirse. El título Millpond (Estanque de molino) alude a un giro idiomático inglés: as calm as a millpond – tan calmo como un estanque – por el carácter calmo de la pieza. Esta obra tiene además las connotaciones didácticas de toda obra relativamente breve (menos de 3 minutos). Si bien no aparenta ser una obra de concierto, en el momento de armar un programa uno puede necesitar variedad y contrastes – y esta obra puede entonces tener su lugar en un recital.
