Jesus was presented pure After forty days, For it was the law of God; There were no delays.   Simeon, a prophet then, Waited many years For there was a promise made He’d behold, like seers, Images of Christ the King Ere his dying day. When he saw that Baby near He was known to say:   "For mine eyes have seen this day!  For mine eyes have seen! Thy salvation was prepared As a light to glean." Taking Jesus in his arms, Praising his great name, He could now depart in peace For his Savior came!   "Glory to all Israel" Was his prophecy, And a spear would pierce Christ’s side So men could be free.
