The reason is that this piece is the absolute worst combination of "sounds easy but hard to get right". So, rather than watching as students suffer through this piece, give them the clear instructions about what they are supposed to do, and let them get the correct repetitions they need to build mastery. If you are a teacher, give this version a try.
