Soli SSAATB, Coro SATB, 2 Fl, 2 Ob, 4 Tr (o 2 Tr), Timp, 2 Vl, Va, Bc - Level 3 SKU: CA.4064449 Composed by Jan Dismas Zelenka. Edited by Thomas Kohlhase. Single Part, organ. Composed 1730. ZWV 13. Duration 30 minutes. Carus Verlag #4064400. Published by Carus Verlag (CA.4064449). ISBN 9790007296131. Key: D major. Latin. The "Missa Gratias agimus tibi" by Jan Disma Zelenka was composed in 1730, a little before the "Missa Sancti Josephi" (Carus 27.082), and is thus already close to Zelenka's late style. As a festive mass, it is scored with trumpets and timpani, which, in the spirit of courtly splendour, are not silent even in the Kyrie. 17 mostly shorter movements, each with a very different character, bear witness to Zelenka's inventiveness and make the 30-minute mass an exciting experience. Score and part available separately - see item CA.4064400.
