The paper and cloth editions have identical contents, but the cloth edition contains critical notes and commentary. This volume completes the initial phase of The New Liszt Edition. Series I: Works for Solo Piano (18 volumes), Series II: Free Arrangements and Transcriptions (24 volumes), and the Supplement to Series I and II (15 volumes) were presented over a span of almost fifty years.
