Intrada: a stately procession of the king's court going to battle in a solemn march temp; II. Sad Song: a sorrowful ballad in 3/4 expresses the distress of the ladies in the absence of their beloved knight; and III. Glorious March: a triumphal march illustrates the victorious return of the King and his courageous knights who defeated the enemy. A simple but very evocative suite.
