Gloria Willingham is an iconic figure in the Nazarene denomination; her mother was Grace Ramquist and her grandfather was J. B. Chapman. Oh, and her husband, Elbert, is the son of T. W. Willingham. Gloria was a schoolteacher before retirement; she raised two daughters; and she is a lifelong advocate for world missions. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her laugh is inspiring...especially considering her long battle with rheumatoid arthritis. What an honor it was to collaborate with Gloria on several songs while serving together at Kansas City First Church of the Nazarene back in the day: she, the missionary president, and I, a music staff member. You are looking at one of her theme songs, a response. It could be useful for services emphasizing missions or, more generally, consecration. Or it could be useful as a choral response to prayer. The demo uses voices only, since this would work well as an a cappella choral piece. (Of course, a real choir would sing much more smoothly than the computer did, almost in a one feel.) I also included chord symbols in case you prefer to accompany it with a rhythm section, in which case the guitar would probably want to use a gentle finger-picking style and the drummer a light ballad cross-stick on three. And then there's always the option of piano and/or organ improvising from the vocal parts.The purchase price allows you to duplicate as many copies as needed for your choir and/or praise team and instrumentalists (and even the congregation if you want to include the music in a worship bulletin).
