Big band (Alto Sax 1, Alto Sax 2, Tenor Sax 1, Tenor Sax 2, Baritone Sax, Trumpet 1-4, Trombone 1-3, Bass Trombone 4, Piano, Bass, Drums) - advanced SKU: M7.SMP-1246 Tenor Sax Feature. Composed by Edward Heyman and Johnny Green. Arranged by Bill Holman. Sheet music. Score and parts. Handelsware #SMP 1246. Published by Handelsware (M7.SMP-1246). Bill Holman, well known for his solo features, originally arranged this iconic tenor saxophone feature, 'Out of Nowhere,' for Bill Perkins and the Stan Kenton Orchestra in the mid '50s. Set as an up-tempo swing, the tenor saxophone is featured throughout and has lots of solo space to make this tune its own. Combine that with a cookin' rhythm section and great swinging ensemble passages, this chart is really happening! This new Finale edition provides cleaner, more correct parts and is easier to read with better page turns. The 'edited' version is exactly the same as the 'pro' version except it is written for 8-brass instead of 10. Brass ranges are reasonable in both versions (highest note for trumpet is a written D). 5-4-4-3.
