His musical oeuvre is rather extensive: it includes operas, a serenata, oratorios, cantatas, duets, terzetti, madrigal, Mass and Mass sections, psalms, responsories, canticles, litanies, hymns, antiphons, motets, lamentations, pastorals and sequences, and instrumental music. The cantatas, in particular, constitute a wide and significant corpus.
