You can just tell that something's not right. That said, it's not meant to be played cute and pretty. This arrangement was written with the lower instruments having the melody throughout. There is a repeating rhythmic sequence of notes that is passed around among the altos. This arrangement is scored for 3 altos, tenor, and baritone.
