A train trip across America back in 2014 inspired me to write these pieces. As our train chugged across the land, there was a definite C major feel to the sound of the horn every time we passed a level crossing or met a freight train.Mystery Tour has a melancholy opening theme as the destination is unknown and the route quite mysterious. The second section is playful with what seems like a folk tune at its core. The main theme returns and is developed until the quiet ending.
