Portraits of a Prayer, Op. 11 is composed for solo piano. The title of this piece is not based on anything specific, but I personally liked the name. Even more so, I wanted to poke fun at mainstream music. This was going to be part of a suite I had planned but ultimately never went through with it. Instead, I used this piece as an opportunity to work on implementing polytonality, ostinato, and syncopated motives.
