The title translates to “first piece” which is meant to be one of the orchestra’s first performance pieces giving the group a chance to perform together for the first time. As noted on the score’s last page the director should feel free to omit the 2nd eighth note and make the 1st eighth note a quarter note throughout.  This will simplify the piece even more.
