About this arrangement

Keyboard, piano, flute, violin SKU: GI.G-003104 Composed by Alan Hommerding. Sacred. GIA Publications #003104. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-003104). Scripture: Psalm 138, Psalm 84.The first piece is inspired by Psalm 138:2, “I will bow down toward your temple and I will praise your name.” This piece begins with a meditative motif that builds gently, while underscored by a steady, suppliant piano accompaniment. Psalm 84, “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Hosts.” is set as a processional dance, beginning with a bold statement with a middle-east feel. A constant accelerando keeps the dance moving along with dotted rhythms, glissandi, and open intervals.
