It is a Requiem cast in the form of a dramatic dialogue between two SATB choruses depicting the triumph of faith over death. The performance time is approximately an hour if one honors the composer’s wish for a two-minute pause between each of the five parts.  This work can be done a cappella. Alternatively, the composer wrote an accompaniment for two string quartets for which the score and parts are available on rental. (Essentially Quartet I doubles Chorus I and Quartet II doubles Chorus II.) The strings undergird the choral parts and are not intended to replace a chorus nor to be performed without the singers.
