About this arrangement

Piano - SMP Level 3 (Early Intermediate); NFMC Level: Elementary Class 3 SKU: AP.22479 Composed by Margaret Goldston. Piano Solo. Intermediate level piece for the Piano Solo event with the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Festivals Bulletin 2008-2009-2010. Score. 4 pages. Alfred Music #00-22479. Published by Alfred Music (AP.22479). UPC: 038081228761. English. The frenzy of rush hour is depicted beautifully in this intermediate solo. Cars speed along, horns honk, and traffic comes to a screeching halt at the end. The toccata feel of this piece is created through the use of staccatissimo and alternating hands. Careful counting is needed for the syncopated and chromatic honking sounds. Students will travel up and down the keyboard as they weave in and out of traffic, making this a wonderful piece for recitals or contests. About SMP Level 3 (Early Intermediate) Independent movement of the left hand. Multiple chords in a measure, and the introduction of triplets.
