UPC: 600313707414.With its contrasting minor-major key themes, Rustic Waltz is an energetic short piece which can be used as an exciting concert opener or even as an encore. The robust opening theme, which unlike most waltzes emphasizes the first and second beats of the bar, contrasts beautifully with the more lyrical second theme in the relative major, and should be played more like a Viennese waltz. For its last appearance, the first theme is transposed up a second giving the piece a tonal lift and bringing it to its exciting conclusion.
