Harp,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1337655 By Aharonian/safonova. By Darius Milhaud. Arranged by Kevin Frecker. 20th Century,Classical,Latin. 28 pages. Kevin Frecker #923310. Published by Kevin Frecker (A0.1337655). Brazileira is the third movement of Scaramouche, a suite for 2 pianos by Darius Milhaud. This arrangement for 2 harps and piano retains most of the original Piano 1 for the arranged piano part, and the 2 harps split the original Piano 2. The exception is the lyrical middle part, where the parts are reversed. A distinctive feature of this arrangement is the addition of a percussive technique in the Harp 2 part, where the performer prepares a muting strip to insert into the strings and then plays these strings as a glissando with the distinctive 3 + 3 + 2 samba rhythm of the main melody. The accompanying YouTube video demonstrates this technique. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of popular titles and original compositions from a variety of voices and backgrounds. The length, difficulty, and retail pricing are determined solely by the discretion of the person who arranged or composed it.
