UPC: 888680923013.Slavonica! was commissioned by the Bloomsbury Music Group for the Bloomsbury Woodwind Ensemble. The composer wanted to create a set of three modern 'Slavonic Dances', which are strongly influenced by Dvorak's famous examples: an opening dance, a 'sousedska', and alively 'skocna' accelerating to a whirlwind coda. These dances can be played either by a group with one player per part, or by a full concert band wind section.
