Published by Norsk Noteservice (BT.NNS9790261705646). Sledgehammer was released both as single record and included in the album «So» by British artist Peter Gabriel in 1986. The song is the biggest hit to this day by Gabriel. The song is inspired by the 50’s soul music, in particular the music recorded by Memphis-based record label Stax. Gabriel achieved three Grammy-nominations for the song and album, but without winning any of them. However, the video has wonseveral prizes and are to this day the most played music video at MTV.
