About this arrangement

Flute Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.817927 Composed by Jean Marie Leclair (1697-1764). Arranged by Adrian Dee. Baroque,Instructional. 36 pages. Adrian Dee #3075513. Published by Adrian Dee (A0.817927). This delightful Baroque sonata was originally written for two violins playing many double-stops. It is here arranged for 2 flutes and 2 alto flutes. There are four movements: Andante, Allegro, Largo, and Allegro ma non troppo. The entire piece is approximately 11 minutes in length, depending on how fast you like your "non troppo". The first movement is a sultry 3/4 which sets up the second movement, a lively 2/4. The third movement, in 4/4, layers the voices over each other with satisfying suspensions and resolutions. The fourth is a lively lighthearted 6/8.Let me know what you think!
