Sonata in d minor, Op.5-7 was originally composed for solo violin & basso coutinuo.  It is a trio in actuality, because basso coutinuo is usually consisted of a keyboard and a violoncello.  However, there is a very beautiful performance by violin and violoncello duo (for example, the CD performed by Lumiere Duo, Lumiere Records).
