Drawing parallels in structure to Clayderman’s renowned 1977 composition, this piece was born from a simple melody, dedicated to an imaginary young Chinese girl named Xian. Thus, emerged the emotive piece, SONG FOR XIAN, as part of my envisioned album celebrating the essence of Chinese music, aptly titled “CHINA LOVE.” The score for SONG FOR XIAN is meticulously notated with dynamic and articulation markings, phrasing, pedal indications, chord symbols, along with suggested fingerings and pertinent musical terminology for seamless performances. This arrangement is ideally suited for accomplished students, seasoned pianists, and piano instructors alike.
