May Morning, set to a gorgeous poem by John Milton, is about the fullness and warmth of May: "Hail bounteous May that doth inspire Mirth, and youth, and warm desire." The songs are relatively short, about 3 minutes each. The voice parts are not difficult, the piano part occasionally requires a pianist who is comfortable playing octaves and leaps.
