About this arrangement

String Ensemble,String Quintet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.925228 Composed by Jill Elliott. Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 70 pages. Daffiddle Music #4631791. Published by Daffiddle Music (A0.925228). This string quintet has four movements, based on a poem by Federico Garcia Lorca, in which he laments the death of a friend in a bullfight. Three of the movements relate directly to parts of the poem which bear the same titles, and suggest the poet's anguish at the death of his friend, eventual coming to terms and  realising that although the spirit has fled the memory remains. The first movement represents people of all ages  making their way to the bullfight, walking at different paces, and also conveys a feeling of impending doom.  The quintet was written for friends of  similar technical ability, with most of the material fairly distributed. This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
