The verse and chorus work independently, but once learned can be sung as a round. The piano accompaniment includes a chord sheet. This work was inspired by the need for an anthem with social justice themes that could be easy to learn and compelling for children’s or community choirs: something fun to sing that would provide a strong affirmation of a united community. The song is an invitation to stand in the promise of all that defines the goodness of humanity: love, kindness, truth, justice, and peace. It is a call to gratefully celebrate each day as an opportunity to bring this message of light to our world. The language is neither religious nor political.
