God knew that our lives would become busy and involved and we would need to occasionally pause and listen; to refresh, recharge, reconnect. The opening theme of this instrumental trio echoes throughout reminding listeners to "Stand Still and Listen." The relaxed, lyrical style of this instrumental piece creates a warm, pleasant ambiance and is an ideal selection for a prelude in a church setting.Though notated with FLUTE on part 1 and VIOLIN on part 2, the ranges are also accessible for other combinations of C instruments (2 violins, 2 flutes, etc.). Ranges are as follows: FLUTE (part 1) – first G above middle C to the second B above (G4 to B5); VIOLIN (part 2) – first E above middle C to the second B above (E4 to B5).  The FLUTE carries the melody for the first verse and then the two instruments alternate on the second verse creating an echo effect.
