Tyng , one of the most active ministers of the revival, whom died by an accident few days after he preached to five thousand men at a noonday prayer meeting . his sermon was taken from Ephesians chapter 6 . his friend, Dr. George Duffield Jr.  wrote this hymn, based upon Tyng's dying words.
