However, it quickly became known as the theme tune to the long running Housewives’ Choice, broadcast daily on theBBC Light Programme from 1946 to 1967. It has been arranged here for solo Piano, and is sure to bring back fond memories of anyone who lived through the era! Jack Strachey (1894-1972) was a British composer, bestknown for his light-hearted songs for theatre and music hall, such as These Foolish Things. He later turned to orchestral works, with hits including Theatreland and Pink Champagne.
