In most cases, the tunes are rather short, so would be repeated as often as necessary, with the performers varying the melody in turn, as the mood takes them.There is no set order in which to play the music, but there are 12, so that a different one can be performed on each of the 12 days of Christmas.The percussion parts can be omitted.
