Leon Boellmann was een componist en organist uit de Elzas, die leefde in de negentiende eeuw. In zijn korte leven (1862-1897) schreef hij een aantal belangrijke werken voor orgel. Zijn Suite Gothique geniet tot op de dag vanvandaag ook buiten Frankrijk grote populariteit. De vier delen van de suite zijn Introduction-Choral, Menuet gothique, Priere a Notre-Dame en Toccata.Leon Boellmann war ein Komponist und Organist aus dem Elsass des 19. Jahrhunderts, der in seinem kurzen Leben(1862-1897) einige bedeutende Kompositionen fur Orgel schrieb. Seine Suite Gothique geniesst bis heute uber die Grenzen Frankreichs hinaus hohe Popularitat.
