About this arrangement

Guitar; Methods and Music for Children SKU: UT.CH-107 Sulle ali di un accordo. Composed by Giorgio Signorile. Saddle stitching. Classical. Method book. Ut Orpheus #CH 107. Published by Ut Orpheus (UT.CH-107). ISBN 9790215316003. 9 x 12 inches.Living the reality of teaching for years, I have been required many times to find modern studies suited to work on specific technical difficulties, such as scales, arpeggios, legatos etc. As a result, I tried to imagine a 'sonorous world' where these obstacles are mixed with pieces of classical, baroque, contemporary and pop inspiration, joining in this way two, maximum three, sheets of music, musical pleasure and the technical and mechanical efficacy. These nine studies came about this way, written with the affection and competence that a teacher can have in suggesting solutions to his pupil and at the same time with the musical expression always directed towards an intimate and personal style of performance. I wanted to entitle these compositions 'studies' in order to point out that the development of technique should always be combined with the search for musicality, in the execution of the phrases, in the development of the melody and of the harmony: they are worlds which must coexist. I hope this work of mine will contribute in bringing them closer, with serenity, interest and curiosity. As always, I owe my special thanks to Anna, my wife, who designs the covers of my books with her usual masterly skill and passion, and to Sveva, my daughter and little source of daily inspiration. Giorgio Signorile - Cuneo, October 2008.
