Baton Music #BM1139-SET. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM1139-SET). Antonio Álvarez (1867 - 1903) was a Spanish pianist and composer. Among his works are zarzuelas like 'El gran visir', 'Las niñas toreros' and 'El traje del alcalde'. He also composed a numerous pasacalles and pasodobles. One of these pasodobles is 'Suspiros de España' which was composed in 1902 and became very popular as well in as outside Spain. Spanish arranger Sergio Rodíguez Pena transcribed 'Suspiros de España' now for a modern Symphonic Band.
