Bradbury.  It is suitable for prelude, postlude, or performance in Church services, combining the hymn tune with motifs from Giacomo Meyerbeer's hymn commonly set as "Jesus Once of Humble Birth".  Both of these hymns have common usage in Christian congregations today, and will be particularly familiar to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.Performance Practice:  This hymn should not be rushed but shouldn't drag either.  Markings are not included for damper pedal under the assumption that it's use should be rather intuitive given the harmonic rythum of the piece.  Occasional "non-harmonic" notes (mostly augmented 9ths)  in chords are intentional and should be present but not prominent--there to provide tension and color only.
