Piano - intermediate to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q53320 Op. 77/6. Composed by Moritz Moszkowski. Edited by Robert Schafer and Wilhelm Ohmen. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Downloadable. Volume op. 77/6. 7 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53320. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53320). Ignaz Paderewski once remarked that, after Chopin, Moritz Moszkowski knew best how to write for the piano. Moszkowski was one of the most successful German pianists at the end of the 19th century. At the height of his fame, in 1897, he settled in Paris. Among his most popular works are the ‘15 Études de Virtuosité’ op. 72, the extremely effective piano piece ‘Étincelles’ (sparks) op. 36 no. 6, often played as an encore by Horowitz, and the ‘5 Spanish Dances’ op. 12 for piano duet. His ’10 Pièces mignonnes’ op. 77 (plate number 28177-2) were published in three volumes by Schott in 1907. The Tarantella op. 77/6 is in the second volume and still popular today.
