It is also meant as complementary training on harmony and improvisation: practice is based on every type of chord and scale used in jazz. I decided to refrain from giving techical advice and let each player find his/her own way with these exercises. The only piece of advice I would offer is the following: practice very slowly at first, with the help of the metronome, and try and produce a beautiful sound, then progressively increase speed up to the fastest possible tempo.
