I composed "Temporary Dwelling" at a time when I was moving from Minnesota to Illinois.  At the same time, my parents were moving from Saskatchewan (CA) to Arkansas.  Everything was in flux.  This piece is programmatic and tries to express the energy of life in motion with a brief stopover between dwellings.  An ostinato in the left hand helps with continuity, while the melodic line seems to defy the implied tonality.  The piece doesn't really end, with the opening ostinato fading out, like a 'radio fade."  This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
