Little information has been located by the editors regarding the French oboist Theodore Lalliet. He lived from 1837 to 1891, and composed approximately 30 works which were published, most for oboe & piano. This Terzetto Op. 22, was published by Hamelle in 1872. We are pleased to make it available in reprint, and we have added alternate viola, bass clarinet and basset-horn parts as substitutes for the bassoon part, as well as a clarinet alternative for the oboe part.
