The Rivendell String Quartet Arrangements is pleased to inaugurate its new Pop Standards Series with That’s Amore, a classic from the songwriting team of Harry Warren and Jack Brooks. Originally written for the Paramount motion picture The Caddy, starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, That’s Amore was the first major hit for crooner Dean Martin, reaching the #2 spot on the Billboard charts in 1953. It also received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Original Song that year, losing to Sammy Fain’s Secret Love. This pop standard was also featured as the opening title song in the 1987 romantic comedy Moonstruck.  You’ll find your audience singing along with "Scusa me, but you see, back in old Napoli, that’s amore!"Like us on Facebook: facebook.com/rivendellarrangements This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
