Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1178464 Composed by Jean-Phillipe Rameau. Arranged by James Smith. Classical,Early Music. 8 pages. Ensemble Llama Music #778427. Published by Ensemble Llama Music (A0.1178464). "The Arts and the Hours" is an interlude from Rameau's last opera, Les Boréades. The libretto, attributed to Louis de Cahusac (1706–1759), is loosely based on the Greek legend of Abaris the Hyperborean. This particular work has recently gained traction after being recorded by Vikingur Ólafsson on piano, reviving one of Rameau's most beautiful works. This arrangement works perfectly as a slow, lyrical addition to any concert.A string quartet version can be found here.Click here to view my catalog with Ensemble Llama Music!
