Puerling’s arrangement captures the fun and playful spirit of early jazz rhythms with as well as bringing the feel forward in a big band “shout” section with a vocal melodic duet on top! The entire piece is a wordless rendition of the song, so the focus is on the familiarity of the tune, treated in a cappella vocal setting. This is NOT a transcription, but an authentic edition created from the handwritten manuscript of Gene Puerling. Most of this piece is divided into six parts, with a four-part introduction to start all the up to a 10-part final crunchy chord!
