This is a new and exciting orchestral arrangement of the European Anthem, adopted by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in January 1972. This arrangement would be ideal for concert or ceremonial events and is playable by any competent orchestra. The complete PDF file contains a 19-staff full score, and parts for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in B flat, bassoons, 3 trumpets in B flat, 4 horns in F, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, percussion (3 players) and strings. The melody of this anthem is taken from the last movement of Beethoven's Symphony No 9, Op 125, often known as the Choral Symphony and it's a setting of Schiller's poem Ode to Joy.
